SNAPCAT BANDITS is an ALT ROCK DUO from DETROIT, MI. The project came to life in 2023 by Mike Krupinski (guitar, bass, vocals) and Melanie D. Marshall (drums). This project has the benefit of Mike and Melanie’s years of experience as songwriters and rock musicians, crafting edgy alternative, punk and power pop rock that is heavy on melody, attitude, and vibe.
SNAPCAT BANDITS released well received singles including Chasing Shadows, Lonely Highway, Summer Days, and September Rain. Press releases from Fanbase Music Magazine, Jammerzine, Stargazer, and I'm Music Magazine have highly recommended the tracks to their readers. Snapcat Bandits has also had radio airplay around the world.
In 2024 Snapcat Bandits reached 140,000 Spotify listeners and they have over 250,000 views on You Tube. Their You Tube channel features a full documentary called "Meet Snapcat Bandits at the Blind Pig on 3-6-2024", an amazing performance video for "September Rain", and and several Lyric videos. In Jan 2025 they will release single "Nothing to Prove" with a professional quality performance video.
SNAPCAT BANDITS is in pre-production for their next album, playing live shows, and releasing new music, videos, and content. Their live shows are energetic with punk attitude. Their Alt Rock music is emotionally charged. The duo will often, although not always, perform live shows as a trio adding a bass player to their performance.
All Snapcat Bandits music has been produced by Super Producer and Engineer, Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Southgarden, Tantric) at Pearl Sound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eminem, Filter) in Canton, MI.

Snapcat Bandits, out of Detroit, MI., are back and better than ever with their new song and video, “September Rain”, out now. Mike and Melanie, the members of Snapcat Bandits, are already garnering a lot of new fans with its upbeat vibe and unforgettable melody.
The band is releasing a single, “September Rain,” on September 13th, which is featured in their upcoming EP, Anything and Nothing. We had the opportunity to listen to an advanced copy, and it gave us Pearl Jam and Soundgarden vibes. Fans of 90s grunge and alt-rock music are going to love it.
Formed amidst the gritty backdrop of Detroit, Michigan in 2023, Snapcat Bandits emerged onto the Rock scene with a distinctive fusion of raw energy and musical finesse. Comprising of virtuoso Mike Krupinski, on guitar, bass, and vocals, alongside the powerhouse drummer Melanie D. Marshall, the duo encapsulate the essence of contemporary Rock with their dynamic sound.
“Lonely Highway”, is about being in a bad relationship or bad situation”, says Marshall. In the Led Zeppelin song, “Trampled Under Foot”, Robert Plant talks about likening a motor car to parts of a human body. With, “Lonely Highway”, human emotions are likened to parts of a vehicle.” “Lonely Highway”, was written by Mike and Melanie. It was at a time when Mike turned away from social media. Both Mike and Melanie intentionally turned off all media, TV, news and internet news. They felt like they were moving away from the hostility and divisiveness of the current state of affairs in the outside world.
